Amba
The Amba, “mother” in Sanskrit, are one-of-a-kind pieces from 95 to 200 centimetres. The paste is applied by hand over a template printed for a single lamp, then removed; each diffuser is printed for its own lamp.
They are made on request, and can be made to measure: height, colour, diffuser. E27 socket, connected dimmer and bulb as an option.
What it is made of: papier-mâché, recycled paper, MoldingPulp. How it is made: a lamp, from ground newspaper to wax. Bespoke: a piece drawn for one place.

Natural paper and carbon black are permanent; sage, ivory and brick are limited editions. Any other colour, or one of your own, can be prepared on request. Write to us
Questions
Is each Amba unique?
Yes. The paste is applied by hand over a template printed for a single lamp, then removed. The diffuser, a dividing cell or an orchid, is printed for that lamp.
Can it be made bespoke?
Yes: height, colour and diffuser can all be adapted. Just write to the workshop.
Which bulb?
E27 socket, LED 20 W maximum. Connected dimmer and bulb available as options.
What is the lead time?
Pieces in stock ship within 48 hours; the others are shaped by hand in the workshop, to order, in three to five weeks.
